When every other regional league in the USA was clamoring to align with the NPPL, the largest regional league in the country stood with the PSP. While the CFOA got laughed at early-on, when the NPPL looked unstoppable with nowhere to go but up, how smart do they look now that the NPPL has passed away, leaving behind all these regional affiliate leagues running a dead format with a dead rulebook and a dead affiliation to a dead ID system for their customers? While the physically smallest of the three "big dogs" that administer the CFOA (we'lly let you take a guess which that is) wouldn't directly answer any questions about what the future might hold for the PSP or even the CFOA, he did admit this much: "we always stood by the PSP because we at the CFOA always felt that they had the best interests of our industry and our game at heart. Whatever changes to their formats they might mandate, we've supported them for years and I don't see any reason that would change now." We weren't sure if we we're supposed to quote him on that, but it's too late now.
