Since the creation of the scenario game concept by Wayne Dollack two decades ago, the scenario play has grown to become one of the most important and fast-growing parts of the paintball world. Thousands of players converge on fields from Oklahoma to Pennsylvania to Florida to play scenario games with themes varying from World War Two’s most important battles to science fiction movies. The promoters who produce these games vary from major field owners to charismatic individuals who love the game and spend weeks and months creating games for their customers to play.
Wayne Dollack
The original scenario game producer and the man who came up with the scenario game concept in the first place, Wayne Dollack produces games to this day, mostly at his home base, Wayne’s World of Paintball in Ocala, Florida. Most of his games feature a science fiction theme, many based on movies. Wayne’s games in the past have featured themes from movies like “Tank Girl” or “Star Wars.” For many years, his December “Grand Finale” scenario was the largest game in the industry and featured trade shows nearly as big as those promoted by the World Cup or Amateur Open. Still a popular game today, the Grand Finale draws well over a thousand players to Wayne’s World in December.
